The natural world’s transformations and interconnections are the central focus for her art making. Both real and imagined imagery becomes a symbol of the broader processes of nature. Sculptures express movements, growth processes and cycles underlying nature. The visual poetry of a group of forms interacting in space is a focus. Organic based form is investigated through both asymmetry and order. Fiona’s studio materials and processes express the physicality of the natural world; earth, water, fire and air.
